“I love what running teaches me. The growth is internal—it’s not like building muscle where you can see the progress in the mirror. You have to trust your body to push past the thresholds you thought existed, only to discover there's more in you. I love the discipline it takes to choose the run, especially when there’s no reason other than just because. I love the peace it brings—the fresh air, the freedom, the escape.

As a woman who loves to run early in the morning before sunrise, safety isn’t optional—it’s essential. We’re trained to run on alert, which is so unfair when all we’re trying to do is move our bodies and care for ourselves. We shouldn’t have to turn down our music, constantly check over our shoulders, or wonder if we’re being followed. Safety means freedom. And we deserve to feel free when we run.” - Katie
